Kendall Warm Springs, Sublette County Looking up from the Green River, this perspective of Kendall Warm Springs illustrates the magic of falling water. Extensive set up utilizing tripod, wide angle lens, neutral density filter and slow shutter speeds all contribute to the dreamy water effect.

Local photographer Arnie Brokling has a new photography exhibit on display at Rock Rabbit in Pinedale. He says what started as a casual hobby has now "morphed into an obsession with capturing unique perspectives and/or expressions of our local surroundings." He especially enjoys being outdoors capturing local wildlife, nature and landscape scenes. The photos on display in this photography exhibit were all taken in northwestern Wyoming. The display will hang through most of December.

"My camera and specialized equipment allow me to freeze in time details not easily seen with the naked eye, and allows viewers to sometimes get a totally different perspective on behavior. Whether it is a unique expression, dramatic landscape, close up portrait or the development of a newborn, the images are my interpretation of the world around me. Always looking for the light within the shadows, my photography is meant to showcase the beauty and diversity of the part of the world in which we live, to help folks recognize its value and protect it for future generations."

The pieces in this display are printed on aluminum metal which brings out the luxuriousness of the colors and makes the print very durable. All of the pieces are available for sale and make great holiday gifts.

Arnie can be contacted at 307-749-8231 or abrokling@centurytel.net. More of his work can be found on his website www.arniebrokling.photo.

Struttin’ My Stuff Sublette County Left town at 3AM, 30 minute truck ride, 15 minute ATV ride, ½ mile walk and I was in on the Lek and in the Blind. Grouse came in while it was still dark. I quietly waited for enough light to get this shot. The sound and sight of these birds strutting their stuff is truly remarkable.

Fremont Lake, Sublette County I set out to photograph the mule deer migration but was pleasantly surprised by the Red Fox hunting along the shores of Fremont Lake. A little snow falling adds to the beauty of this magnificent animal.

Yellowstone National Park The intent of the photo is to illustrate resilience. Although the impact of the 1988 fire is clearly visible, so are new trees and excellent habitat for this young Grizzly bear. Life goes on!
