Wyoming Senior Olympic Winter Games in Pinedale

Thursday through Saturday

Thursday through Saturday. Anyone over the age of 50 is invited to participate. Events include Alpine skiing, slalom and Giant Slalom, snowshoe, Nordic skiing - Classic and Freestyle, hockey, pickelball, swim meet, racquetball, speed skating, infoor walking, a climbing competition and more. March 3, 2018:
The Drift 100 Adventure Race

Saturday
Winter adventure race in the Wind River Mountains. Racers may ski, bike or run on the snow-covered groomed trail. For 2018 the race will be a marathon with a 40-mile option. Participants should arrive in Pinedale by Friday evening to be ready for the race and attend the mandatory evening racers meeting. Saturday race is in the Upper Green to Green River Lakes and comes back down the Moose-Gypsum Road finishing at Kendall Valley Lodge. Mandatory checkpoints along the way. Racers are expected to be self-sufficient for safety, food, water and major medical needs. No motoriized vehicles allowed. Race is capped at 50 racers. Green River Rendezvous Days in Pinedale

Events all around town. Street fair, rodeos, Trader's Row, Museum living history programs, Rededication of Trappers Point monument, Rendezvous Pageant, Mass at DeSmet Monument, beard cutting, lots more. We strongly advise getting your lodging reservations as soon as possible (now is not too soon... town motels fill up way in advance for this event)

Surly Pika Adventure Race in Pinedale
Sunday

Part of the Wind River Mountain Festival in Pinedale. Race is on Sunday. Teams of 2-3 will receive maps with pre-plotted checkpoints. Teams will make their way by bike, foot and boat through the course to find checkpoints. Routes are not predetermined. Racers will chose their own way from checkpoint to checkpoint. The race starts at Elkhart Park at 8AM. Brealfast at White Pine at 6:30AM, mandatory pre-race meeting at 7:30AM. Finish by 4PM at Lakeside Lodge. Late racers will get a scoring penalty. Awards ceremony at 5PM. Online registration closes Thursday, July 20. Booth registration at Wind River Mountain Festival. Last chance registration Saturday, July 21 at booth from 3-6PM. 9: Sublette County Historical Society Annual Meeting and Spring Thaw Party At the Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale. Starts at 6:00PM. Brief business meeting to update historical society members, and election of new officers, then presentation. Special guest speaker will be Jim Hardee talking about his new SCHS book about Nathaniel Wyeth. Clint Gilchrist will give a brief update on the archaeological dig/recovery of the steamship Malta which sank in the Missouri River in 1841. Refreshments will be served.
14: Rendezvous Pointe Annual Pie Social and Auction - Order whole pies or come in for a slice. Homemade pies made by the Rendezous Pointe kitchen staff. Choices are peach, cherry, apple, rhubarb, chocolate and coconut cream. There will also be a silent auction for “Dream Pies.” Whole pies must be ordered in advance, watch for order date. Teams will make their way by bike, foot and boat through the course to find checkpoints. Routes are not predetermined. Racers will chose their own way from checkpoint to checkpoint. The race starts at Elkhart Park at 8AM. Brealfast at White Pine at 6:30AM, mandatory pre-race meeting at 7:30AM. Finish by 4PM at Lakeside Lodge. Late racers will get a scoring penalty. Awards ceremony at 5PM. Online registration closes Thursday, July 20. Booth registration at Wind River Mountain Festival. Last chance registration Saturday, July 21 at booth from 3-6PM.
