Wolves inhabiting Washington's 3.1 million-acre Colville Reservation will soon be the subject of an intensive monitoring effort by the Tribes, thanks to a $187,000 grant from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. The money will allow the hiring of a wildlife biologist, DNA sampling of wolf scat, and other population monitoring techniques.
