If your well becomes polluted with flood water, it could be contaminated with germs or pathogens. If this should happen, call the County Sanitarian, Keith Raney, at 307-367-2754 for help and information about cleaning up and disinfecting the well. If you have to use the water before you have decontaminated it, bring it to a full boil, then boil it for 4-5 minutes or consider using bottled water.
