‘Sage-Grouse Update’ newsletter available
by Wyoming Game & Fish
March 4, 2011
The first of a series of newsletters titled "Wyoming Interagency Sage-Grouse Update" is now available via email to interested persons.
The newsletter was generated as a result of three U.S. Bureau of Land Management-Wyoming Game and Fish Department interagency workshops that were held at the end of January. The purpose of the workshops was to provide information and answer agency questions regarding the implementation of the Governor’s Greater Sage-Grouse Core Area Protection Executive Order 2010-04, BLM policy on sage-grouse management and coordination among the agencies.
The newsletter is intended to aid the continued dissemination of information regarding the implementation of the core area strategy, provide examples of projects and analyses from the field, and answer questions from agency personnel concerning policy, procedure and coordination.
A listserv has been established with the help of Game and Fish information technology staff and the Wyoming Department of Administration and Information to distribute the newsletter electronically and to accept feedback and questions. Persons interested in receiving updates can contact Amanda Losch at (307) 777-2967 or send a message directly to firstname.lastname@example.org.
