The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service reports that there are no recent livestock depredations in Wyoming.

Utah: On May 27, 2010 a black wolf was seen chasing sheep just east of Bear Lake in northcentral Utah. Wolves in this area were delisted in 2009. The herder shot at it but missed and the wolf trotted off. An investigation by Utah USDA Wildlife Services determined no sheep were injured or killed and it was likely just a lone disperser.

Oregon: On May 28, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife biologists and USDA Wildlife Services investigated and confirmed a third domestic calf killed by wolves in Wallowa County. Wolves in this area (Imnaha Pack) had previously killed 2 calves on May 4 and May 21, respectively. On May 23, ODFW issued permits to the owners of five Wallowa County ranches in the affected area authorizing them to kill any wolves that are caught in the act of attacking livestock.
