Sublette GOP caucus March 2

February 27, 2010
The Sublette County Republican Party will hold All Precincts Caucuses at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at the Sublette County Courthouse. According to the county GOPís bylaws, "All Republicans who have registered within the precinct at the dates of the call of the Precinct Caucus shall be entitled to participate and vote at the Precinct Caucus."
Sublette County Republican Chair Cat Urbigkit has made the change this year to have all the caucuses held at the same time and the same place. "Last time, there was confusion about how these caucuses should be run, there was little attendance, and some caucuses failed to get their information in to me within the timeline called for in the bylaws," she said. "For these reasons, I decided to host the All-Precincts Caucuses at one place, where we can have maps of the precincts, the registered voter list, and all the information needed to run the caucuses available for everyone in one place."
"Now is a good time to learn about the Republican party and how it works, so please, registered Republicans, come join us in this important election year," she said.
At the Precinct Caucuses, the chair of each caucus will take nominations of qualified Republicans residing in the precinct to be delegates and alternates to the County Convention. The chair will also call for National Resolutions, State Platform Planks, or County or State Bylaws changes to come before the caucus. These documents are all available on the webblog (Online at: sublettegop.wordpress.com) under the appropriate section i.e., county, state, national.
Each precinct will select two additional delegates (in addition to their existing precinct committeemen and committeewomen) to the Sublette County Convention, which will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Sublette County Courthouse.
