  Darkness
It's still dark when the trucks rolled through the muck on Sublette Flat to
reach the loading corrals, ready to haul off the 2007 lamb crop for finishing in California.

 October 7, 2007
After an all-night rain, Sublette Flat was muddy Saturdaymorning, but that couldn't stop the big trucks from rolling
in to an ancient set of shipping pens with a scale house,
as the Arambel family prepared to ship the 2007 wether lamb crop.

Normally a place of peace and quiet, with grazing animals
and a few sheepherders the only inhabitants, on Saturday,
there were more than a dozen people present, scurring
around the pens. Herders converged with the lambs,
ranch owners, lamb buyers, truckers, inspectors - there
 was plenty of action.

Everything went off without a hitch, and several thousand
lambs were loaded within a couple of hours.
