The Pinedale Fine Arts Council is proud to present Big-Horn based cowboy poet and musician Dave Munsick performing live Saturday, Sept. 15 at 7:00 p.m. The location has been changed to the Heritage Room of the Sublette Center in Pinedale.

This event is part of PFAC’s “Purple Moose Coffee House” series – a smaller, more intimate venue to catch visiting performers. There will be a $5 charge for admittance at the door and refreshments will be provided.

Dave Munsick’s music ties to the echoes of the land, lore and life of the west. Munsick has a long history of living life to its fullest, working from Mexico to Canada at occupations that have kept him close to the land and its people.

His rich life and lyrical melodies allow listeners to be captured into the times and the places of which he sings. He has written scores of songs, themes for plays, produced and released 4 original albums and has made several history and science educational music videos. Additionally, he has opened for, or performed for, the likes of Chris LeDoux, Hank Thompson, Ian Tyson, Darrell McCall and Johnny Bush.

“Dave Munsick’s music captures the spirit of the people both harmonically and humanistically,” says acclaimed country singer Michael Martin Murphey. “He is an exemplary songwriter.”

Munsicks performance is presented by PFAC in association with the Sublette County Library and the Town of Pinedale.

In addition to the Munsick performance, this September also marks the beginning of PFAC’s 2007-2008 season, which includes performances by the Utah Symphony and Second City touring comedy group. Colombian/Venezuelan group Los Llaneros will kick the season off on September 28. Season tickets ($50 adult/$25 student) are now on sale, so please visit PFAC’s newly updated website at www.pinedalefinearts.com or call 307-367-7322 to purchase your tickets (season tickets will also be available at the Sept. 15 performance).

PFAC is also looking for volunteers for the Munsick event. If interested please call 307-367-7322 or visit the volunteer page on the PFAC website.
