Rendezvous Days July 12-15th
by Pinedale Online!
July 10, 2007

The biggest party of the year in Pinedale takes place this weekend: Green River Rendezvous Days! Always held the second full weekend in July, this four-day event celebrates the annual gathering of the fur traders and trappers of the Rocky Mountain Fur Trade era of the early 1800s in our Upper Green River Valley.

There are many events planned during the four days of Rendezvous Days. There are living history demonstrations and talks every day at the Museum of the Mountain Man. Plains Indian Historian Michael Terry will return with presentations at the Museum. The Rendezvous Rodeo takes place Thursday through Saturday. There will be a parade down main street in Pinedale Saturday morning. The Prairie Mass takes place on Sunday at the DeSmet Monument near Daniel. The annual elaborate Rendezvous Pageant will be held on Sunday, at 1:00 PM at the Rendezvous Grounds, located behind the rodeo grounds just south of Pinedale.

For more information and the latest schedules, be sure to stop by and visit our beautiful new visitor center in downtown Pinedale, which is the new home of the Sublette County Chamber of Commerce and Sublette County Joint Tourism Promotion Board. They have lots of literature and local area information, and public restrooms. They are located on the corner of Tyler and Pine Street, by the "cow mural".
