Pinedale Town Hall to discuss wildlife impacted by severe winter weather
Governor Mark Gordon and Wyoming Game and Fish Director Brian Nesvik have announced a town hall meeting on Thursday, March 30, from 4:00-5:30 pm in the Lovatt Room of the Pinedale Library. The forum's focus is to provide an update on the status of Wyoming wildlife impacted by the extreme winter weather and obtain residents' input. Following a brief presentation by the Wyoming Game and Fish, the meeting will be opened for questions and comments by the public. A Zoom option will be available.

27: Deadline to file for candidacy for Big Piney Municipal Election Elected positions open this year are Mayor, two Town Council seats. Election day is May 9th.. More info at the Town of Big Piney Town Hall.
28: Public Hearing for National Register nomination for Big Sandy Lodge PUBLIC NOTICE: The Sublette County Historic Preservation Board, Certified Local Government (CLG), will hold their next regular meeting on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 3:00PM in the board room of the Pinedale Library. In addition to regular business, there will be a public hearing on the proposed National Register nomination for Big Sandy Lodge, located in Sublette County, Wyoming. The public is invited to attend and give input. For more information, contact Clint Gilchrist, Board President, email clint@sublette.com.
28: Community Public Workshop on the Town of Pinedale new Transportation Master Plan & Proposed Alternatives 5:30-7:00PM in the Lovatt Room of the Pinedale Library. Learn information about the Town’s Transportation Master Plan and Pedestrian Safety Plan. Public input being accepted through Friday, March 31st. Information about the plan is available on the Town website, www.townofpinedale.us, along with a survey. The plan involves Pine Street along with additional street modifications to improve connectivity and safety.
29: Presentation on History of the Green River Rendezvous Pageant Wednesday at 6PM at the Museum of the Mountain Man. Museum Executive Director Clint Gilchrist will give a talk on the history of the Pageant from its early days to present. Come learn about this Sublette County tradition that generations in the community have kept alive since 1936. Cast members and public invited.

30: Free QPR Suicide Prevention Training Class 5:30PM at Sublette BOCES, 665 N Tyler Ave in Pinedale. Free one-hour class. Question Persuade Refer (QPR) to learn the warning signs of suicide. Pizza and soda provided. Register online at www.subletteboces.ce.eleyo.com so they can get a head count for materials and meal. Additional classes will be held May 17, July 19, Sept 20, and Nov 15th.
30: Summit Building Easter Egg Hunt, Treats and Shopping At the Summit Building in Pinedale, 219 E Pine Street. Sponsored by White Bear Creations, Rosy Posies, and Woodland Book Nook, along with other shops. Kids 5 and under hunt begins at 4PM. Kids 6-10 hunt begins at 4:30PM.
31: Knights of Columbus Fish Fry From 5-7PM at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in the Banquet Hall, 112 S Sublette Ave in Pinedale. Fried cod, French fries and cole slaw. $10/adults, $8/children 12 and under. Take out available – call between 4-6PM for pick up orders, 307-367-2359. First-come, first-served. Proceeds benefit the local Knights of Columbus charity fund.

Easter Sunday at 12:30 pm (note time correction). at the Church in Bondurant. Rev. Randy Belton will officiate at the Eucharistic Service. Everyone is welcome to join the worship and share in the joy of Easter. Fellowship and refreshments to follow.

15: Pinedale winter water line bleeding season ends Depending on what the weather is like, it's probably ok by now for Pinedale residents on the town water system to turn off their bleeder lines. Today is the end of the winter bleeder allocation for water bills.
20: “Planting for Pollinators” class Offered by Sage & Snow Garden Club at the Pinedale Library on Thursday. Arlinda McLaughlin & Julie Kraft will share information on the importance of planting to attract pollinators. Pollinator Workshop 6:00—8:00PM. Seed Exchange 5:30PM (before the workshop)—Bring seeds to share. 22: Greenhouse tour For people who took the workshop on Greenhouses and Hoop Houses on February 25th. Visit several greenhouses to see how they were built. Participants will be responsible for their own transportation. Sponsored by the Sage and Snow Garden Club and Sublette BOCES. The Workshop was held on February 25th. 22: Passport Fair at the Big Piney Library From Noon – 4PM. You will need to bring your Driver’s License, previous passport (if you had one), and birth certificate. Cash or checks only (no credit cards accepted). Put on by the Big Piney Post Office. Forms available at the Fair, or at the Big Piney Post Office, or travel.state.gov. Photo services will be available at the Fair. Persons under age 18 will need both parents present or a notarized DS 3053. Call the Big Piney Post Office with any questions, 307-276-3772.
22: Reception for eARTh-Postcard Art Show Hosted by Art of the Winds Gallery in Pinedale, 2-5PM. The Postcard Art Show will run through April, 2023. Open to anyone living in Sublette County, no entry fee. Any medium, 2D and 3D accepted. See Art in the Winds for more info, 128 W Pine St.

Members of the American Mountain Men will be on hand for 3 days of living history demonstrations. Public welcome to attend.
9: Big Piney Municipal Election
8AM-7PM at Big Piney Town Hall. Open only to residents of the Town of Big Piney. Elected positions open this year are Mayor, two Town Council seats. Deadline to file is Monday, March 27th.

2023 Summer Expo at the Pinedale Aquatic Center From 3:30-6:00PM. Local organizations that offer youth and family-focused happenings will be on hand at tables to share information about their programs. Table space is free and will be available for set-up the day of Expo, beginning at 2pm. PAC will provide tables and chairs. There will be free food, raffle prizes, and information about all of Sublette County happenings. For more info and to sign up for a booth, call the PAC at 307-367-2832.

Bondurant BBQ
(Bondurant) - Always held the last Sunday in June following church services at St. Hubert the Hunter church in Bondurant. Fundraiser for the community.
Green River Rendezvous (Pinedale) - Always held the 2nd full weekend in July. Includes a parade, living history presentations, Rendezvous Pageant, Rendezvous Prairie Mass and much more
Chuckwagon Days (Big Piney) - Always held the 4th of July weekend in Big Piney and at the rodeo grounds at the Sublette County Fairgrounds north of Marbleton. Includes parade, community picnic/BBQ, Little Buckaroo Rodeo, adult rodeo and fireworks.
Pinedale 4th of July Town Picnic & Fireworks - July 4th. Community picnic with great food and chance to get with your neighbors and the Town to socialize.
Old Timers' Picnic (Daniel) - Held the 2nd or 3rd Sunday in July. Held at the historic Daniel Schoolhouse. Great food and socialization.
