The Fairgrounds Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily upkeep, preparation, and maintenance of all fairgrounds facilities and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for events and visitors.
Experience Required:
Required Licenses or Certifications
Must possess (or have the ability to obtain) a valid Wyoming Drivers License and maintain an acceptable driving record
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Cleaning and restocking restrooms, sweeping floors, collecting trash, picking up manure, and maintaining livestock areas.
Assist with event set-up and tear-down by packing and moving panels, tables, and chairs, as well as preparing arenas with tractors and drags.
Outside responsibilities include mowing lawns and performing snow removal at multiple community facilities in the winter, repairing and maintaining buildings, stalls, and irrigation systems, welding, painting, etc.
The Fairgrounds Maintenance Technician operates a wide range of equipment including tractors, skid steers, loaders, mowers, backhoes, manlifts, water trucks, plows, ATVs, and side-by-sides.
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Strong communication with promoters, patrons, and staff is essential, as work often occurs during live events.
This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as scheduled, particularly during major events.
Physical labor is a key component of the job, including shoveling, sweeping, dragging hoses, moving heavy panels, and performing general maintenance in all weather conditions.

Pay: $45,194.62 DOE
